July 14, 2009: As announced, Microsoft has released their July Security Bulletins. MS09-028 addresses critical, code execution, vulnerabilities in Microsoft DirectShow. This update includes CVE-2009-1537 which was previously disclosed in May 2009. Remaining critical updates cover vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows (OpenType Fonts) as well as an ActiveX Kill Bits update. Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Publisher, ISA Server, and Virtual PC are also addressed in the July release.
